Don Palmer

Don Palmer Don Palmer began employment with the Southern Railroad in 1964 as an Electrician Trainee. He came to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1965 and worked in the Chattanooga Diesel Shop area for over 30 years before retiring on total and permanent disability in 1994.

Don worked in the IBEW Local 311 for 28 years as Recording and Financial Secretary and served on the local Executive Board. He also had other jobs and appointments with which he would be of service to his brothers and sisters, such as Shop Committee, Trial Board Judge, and delegate to various conventions and meetings. Don also served in the IBEW System Council 6.

Today, Don works and serves his local community in several different capacities. He is married, has 3 children, and 4 grandchildren. Don was hired by C. Marshall Friedman Law Firm in 1997 as a Field Representative in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area.
