DeSoto MOHarold Franklin
As Sedalia’s Emergency Road Truck driver he worked along side of the, now extinct, wrecker crews from St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri and North Little Rock, Arkansas. Harold moved to DeSoto, Missouri 1986 after MOPAC’s merger with Union Pacific Railroad. He served as Chairman of the Local Protective Committee for the DeSoto Carmen for 15 years, which later included the Carmen of AMTRAK, A&S and TRRA. He served for eight years as a Board
Member on the Missouri Protective Joint
Protective Board # 320. He finished
his 36 years of service at Union Pacific’s
DeSoto Heavy Repair Shops., and in
September 2007, Harold joined our team
of investigators.
